Stan Global Cookie and Tracking Technology Policy
Document ID: STAN-LEGAL-COOKIES-2026-V1 Version: 1.0.0 (Global Compliance Standard) Effective Date: January 23, 2026
1. Introduction and Purpose
StaNLink (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Tracking Technologies") on our websites, including stan.stanlink.online and games.stanlink.online (the "Platform").
This Cookie and Tracking Technology Policy (the "Policy") explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them. This Policy is a component of our broader commitment to data transparency and sovereignty, aligning with our Stan Global Privacy Policy.
2. Definition of Tracking Technologies
2.1. Cookies
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
2.2. Web Beacons and Pixels
Tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Platform or opened an email that we have sent them. These are often used in conjunction with cookies.
2.3. Local Storage (HTML5)
We utilize browser local storage to maintain session states and game progress without the need for constant server-side requests, ensuring a high-performance "Vibe Coding" experience and seamless gameplay.
3. Categories of Cookies Used by Stan
3.1. Essential (Strictly Necessary) Cookies
These cookies are fundamental to the operation of the Platform. They enable core features without which the Platform cannot function correctly.
- Authentication: Identifying you when you log in to the Stan Agent Dashboard.
- Security: Preventing fraudulent use of login credentials and protecting User data from unauthorized access.
- Asset Loading: Facilitating the secure and efficient retrieval of binary data (3D models, textures) from the R2 Warehouse.
- Session Management: Maintaining your active session across different pages and features of the Platform.
3.2. Performance and Analytical Cookies
To maintain the Developer Revenue Share Program and continuously improve the user experience, we must track how users interact with our Platform and published games. These cookies help us understand:
- Engagement Metrics: Session duration, bounce rates, active player counts, and feature utilization.
- Build Stability: Tracking errors and performance bottlenecks in Unity, Godot, or Unreal Engine builds across different browsers and devices.
- Traffic Sources: Identifying where players are coming from to help Architects optimize their marketing strategies.
- Platform Optimization: Analyzing user flows to enhance the Stan Agent's UI/UX.
3.3. Advertising and Targeting Cookies (Adsterra Integration)
As a revenue-share ecosystem, the Platform utilizes third-party advertising partners, primarily Adsterra. These cookies are essential for the operation of the Developer Revenue Share Program:
- Ad-Injection Validation: Ensure that mandatory ad units are correctly rendered in the game builds and on the Portal.
- Impression Tracking: Accurately count views and clicks on advertisements to calculate Developer payouts.
- Frequency Capping: Ensure that a Player is not shown the same advertisement excessively during a single session, improving user experience.
- Fraud Prevention: Detecting and blocking "bot" traffic or automated clicks that attempt to artificially inflate earnings.

5. International Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and Beyond)
5.1. European Union (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK), we process cookies based on:
- "Legitimate Interest": For essential (strictly necessary) Tracking Technologies crucial for Platform security and functionality.
- "Consent": For analytical, performance, and advertising features. You have the right to revoke consent for non-essential Tracking Technologies at any time via your browser settings or our Platform's privacy controls.
5.2. California (CCPA/CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we do not "sell" your personal data in the traditional sense. However, the use of third-party advertising cookies may be considered a "share" of data for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt-out of such sharing through your browser settings or our "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link, where applicable.
6. Player and Architect Control Mechanisms
6.1. Browser-Level Controls
Most modern web browsers allow you to manage cookies. You can:
- Erase cookies from your computer hard drive.
- Block all cookies entirely.
- Receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Please refer to your browser's instructions (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.) to learn more about these functions.
6.2. Platform-Specific Impact of Blocking
Please note that if you choose to block or disable all cookies and Tracking Technologies, the Stan Agent Dashboard and many games on the Games Portal may not function correctly. Specifically:
- You may be unable to maintain a login session, requiring frequent re-authentication.
- Game progress, settings, and achievements may not be saved.
- Ad-injection checks may fail, potentially preventing the game from launching (as per the Developer Revenue Share Addendum).
- Personalized content and recommendations may be unavailable.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Tracking Technologies we use, for new legal or regulatory requirements, or for other operational reasons. Changes will be posted on the Platform and will become effective immediately upon posting. It is the responsibility of the Developer and Player to review this Policy periodically.
